I’M IN THE EARLY STAGE OF DEVELOPING MY BUSINESS. WHAT SHOULD I BE FOCUSING ON?

When I meet with founders that just begun their startup, I advise to focus on three main things, the problem, the market size and the solution. Sometimes people focus their energy on so many things that they get overwhelmed. Instead on focusing on the main issues and giving it 100%. All other aspects can be developed at later stage.

WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO START EXPANDING MY STARTUP?

It all depends on maturity of the plan. The general belief is that startup fundraises money from family and friends first, but the truth is it doesn’t have to be like that – once you have the right game plan, technology and a killer pitch you can start expanding. We know that investors are usually interested more in the team than the idea, and we are here to help you make it happen

I FINISHED BUILDING MY MVP, SHOULD I GO TO FUNDING?

MVP is a great progress, but it's not nearly enough for fundraising. In order to bring a business to the level of angel investing stage you’ll need more than MVP – first you have to control your pitch, not only from a memory perspective but from the communication part. One of the things we teach is mastering communication, this is the first skill a founder must learn in order to deliver the message exactly like it was intended.

WHAT ARE THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS WHEN PRESENTING TO INVESTORS?

Angel investors are a unique breed, they are not as picky most times on your financial sheets, their interest is who you are and why you are going to make your company the next unicorn? When presenting you must focus on the market size and problem while flowing the conversation towards the product

HOW SHOULD I CHOOSE MY BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

The board of directors is an extremely strong vehicle in the expansion process of a company, a good board that is built from different specialties than the founder. When coming to choose board directors, make sure to keep the number of seats minimized – you need few but very knowledgeable, when time comes, and the company needs to make decisions that are crucial to its progress, the board will be measured.

SHOULD I LEAVE MY CURRENT JOB WHILE WORKING ON MY STARTUP?

This is the hardest question every entrepreneur faces, we believe that a person needs to dedicate 100% of himself to achieve great results , but it is a very personal decision and dependent on different situations.
